District 1 Aldermanic Vacancy

The City of Elkhorn has a 1^st District Aldermanic vacancy. The Common Council will appoint a resident of the 1^st District to serve the remainder of the term, which will expire April 2025, when the position is up for election. Any Elkhorn resident living within the 1^st District boundaries, at least 18 years of age, interested in being interviewed and considered for this appointment, should submit a letter of interest to: City of Elkhorn, Attn: City Clerk, P.O. Box 920, Elkhorn, WI 53121. Letters of interest may also be dropped off in person at the City Clerk’s office, placed in the City Administration 24-hour drop box or emailed to cityclerk@cityofelkhorn.org.

All letters of interest must be received by the City Clerk’s office by 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. No letters will be accepted after the deadline. All candidates will be subject to a police background check.

At a regular meeting scheduled for Monday, May 20^th, the Common Council will interview all qualified applicants. Each applicant will be notified of his/her scheduled interview time. The Council plans to make the appointment at the conclusion of the meeting and the appointee will take office immediately.
