Click here for more information regarding the Seasonal Parking Regulations.

  • In the downtown business district from 3:00am – 6:00am
  • Semi tractors and/or trailers on any city street, which includes the business park, or public parking lots.
  • Library parking lot between the hours of 10:00pm – 6:00am, this includes the side parking area on N. Washington Street
  • Across a sidewalk or on terraces ( the area between the street and sidewalk)
  • All other locations where signs are posted.
  • Parking Limitations:

  • Westside School: "No parking 7:30am – 4:30pm during scheduled school days" on W. Page Street, Van Buren Street, and Sunset Drive, both sides of the street. "No parking here to corner" on the north side of W. Jefferson Street between Olsen and Sunset Drive.
  • Jackson Elementary School: "No parking 7:30am – 4:30pm during scheduled school days" on the east side of North Jackson Street.
  • From 8:00am – 6:00pm two hour parking is permitted in the downtown business district.
  • Recreation vehicles and motor homes are not allowed on any street for more than three hours and only while the vehicle is being unloaded or loaded.
  • 25 Hour Limitation: No person, firm or corporation shall park or leave standing any automobile, truck, tractor, trailer or vehicle of any description on any public street or public parking lot, owned by the City in the City for a period of 25 or more consecutive hours in the same location at any time, except that where more restrictive parking limits have been established, the more restrictive limits shall apply.
  • Seasonal Parking Regulations:

  • December 1st – April 1st, parking will be permitted on the even numbered sides of the street on even numbered calendar days, and on the odd numbered sides of the street on odd numbered days. To eliminate the necessity for moving the vehicles from one side of the street to the other at midnight, the day will be a 24-hour period beginning the preceding day at 5:01pm and ending at 5:00pm that calendar day. For example, if tomorrow is the 15th, an odd numbered day, the odd numbered side parking begins at 5:01pm this evening, the 14th. All posted no parking zones remain in effect.
  • April 15th – August 15th, parking is prohibited on the south side of W. Centralia Street from Park Street to Devendorf Street by the baseball diamonds.
  • Parking Ticket Fines:

  • Parking fines are $20 except for handicap parking which is $75. Those fees will increase to $40 and $125 respectively if not paid within ten days. If the fine is still not paid within 30 days, the fine will increase to $80 and $200 respectively. If parking tickets are not paid, the vehicle registration is subject to being suspended by the State of Wisconsin for an additional $5 fee charged to the owner. When your vehicle registration is suspended, you are unable to renew your vehicle registration and may be stopped and cited for operating a vehicle with suspended registration.
